Old Cuban<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>even so, my friends and I were drinking <a href=\"http:\/\/cocktailvirgin.blogspot.com\/2010\/08\/honey-fitz.html\" target=\"_self\" title=\"with Havana Club 7, for extra decadence and that frisson of the unavailable\">Honey Fitzes<\/a>&#0160;last night;<\/li>\n<li>despite these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyork.com\/articles\/restaurants\/5-new-years-eve-cocktail-recipes-from-some-of-nycs-best-bars-22979\/\" target=\"_self\">good-looking recipes for new cocktails<\/a> at NYC bars;<\/li>\n<li>MrBaliHai gives us his <a href=\"http:\/\/mlkshk.com\/p\/WD28\" target=\"_self\">original recipe for the Big Mezcalhuna<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>the&#0160;<em>WSJ<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/news\/articles\/SB10001424052702303773704579270563536189246\" target=\"_self\">jumps on the punch revival<\/a>, and adds the recipe for Dale DeGroff&#39;s tasty Millennium Punch;<\/li>\n<li>the&#0160;<em>NYT<\/em> looks at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/29\/nyregion\/90-proof-new-york.html?partner=rss&amp;emc=rss\" target=\"_self\">the distilleries of NYC<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>and had a neat drinks-focused Dining section a few weeks back, highlighting some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/11\/dining\/a-flurry-of-winter-cocktails-from-professional-bartenders.html?hp\" target=\"_self\">creative winter cocktails<\/a> around town;<\/li>\n<li>and suggesting&#0160;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/11\/dining\/diy-cocktail-party-theyll-drink-to-that.html\" target=\"_self\">some drinks for parties<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>and Rosie Schaap <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/11\/dining\/a-christmas-spent-at-the-bar-can-be-joyous-too.html?ref=dining\" target=\"_self\">spends Christmas at a bar<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>while Robert Simonson <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/11\/dining\/having-one-for-the-sky.html?ref=dining\" target=\"_self\">drinks at an airport<\/a> (not to be confused with the cocktails you can make aloft, as tackled by <a href=\"\/2010\/07\/05\/cocktails-at-35000-feet-1\/\" target=\"_self\">yours truly<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/possessedbyspirits.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/25\/cocktails-at-30000-feet\/\" target=\"_self\">Erick Castro<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>and their&#0160;<em>T Magazine<\/em> identifies <a href=\"http:\/\/tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com\/2014\/01\/01\/cocktail-culture-a-spot-of-spiked-tea\/?hpw&amp;rref=t-magazine\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Don&#39;t forget the No. 1 at Whitehall, or the Tee-Time at Booker &amp; (The paper&#39;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentucky.com\/kybourbon\/\" target=\"_self\">coverage of the bourbon industry<\/a> is solid and worth a look.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinkgeek.com\" target=\"_self\">Thinkgeek<\/a> has some nifty flasks.
