Yes, I&#39;ve gotten lots of dippy awful-sounding recipes from liquor brands sent to me. No, I&#39;m not going to share them with you&#8230;with the exception of a couple: <a href=\"http:\/\/imbibemagazine.blogspot.com\/2011\/04\/royal-wedding-cocktails.html\" target=\"_self\" title=\"&quot;The Newlyweds&quot;, via the Imbibe Blog.\">this one from Tanqueray&#39;s Angus Winchester<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.villagevoice.com\/runninscared\/2011\/04\/the_royal_weddi_2.php\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Beefeater Royal Punch. (Ignore the crummy writing and pooh-poohing of Dubonnet. Philistines, I tell ya.)\">this punch from Beefeater&#39;s Dan Warner<\/a> looked good;<\/li>\n<li>Jigger, please: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.employeesonlynyc.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Employees Only<\/a> maestro <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esquire.com\/blogs\/food-for-men\/employees-only-bartender-042111?click=news\" target=\"_self\">Steve Schneider drops wisdom<\/a>, though I disagree with his stance on measuring.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vine-wine.com\/home\/2011\/04\/how-to\/\" target=\"_self\">How to open a wine store<\/a> in 10 easy steps;<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/vidiot\/3987211551\/\" target=\"_self\">ice-obsessed Sasha Petraske<\/a>, as well as some others, <a href=\"http:\/\/dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com\/2011\/04\/13\/bar-ice-with-a-pedigree\/\" target=\"_self\">have opened an ice-services company<\/a> for bars, operating out of the space next to Dutch Kills in Queens;<\/li>\n<li>also in my neck of the woods, The Beaver Bar at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.astorroom.com\/\" target=\"_self\">the Astor Room<\/a> has opened up <a href=\"http:\/\/dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com\/2011\/02\/18\/cocktails-where-the-stars-once-lounged\/\" target=\"_self\">in the former commissary space at Kaufman Astoria Studios<\/a>. (Can&#39;t wait to try it out; when I swung by last Sunday, they&#39;d closed early, so I couldn&#39;t partake);<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Awl<\/em> takes a page from Michael Pollan, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theawl.com\/2011\/04\/please-improve-your-drinking-diet\" target=\"_self\">pleading with Americans to improve their drinking habits<\/a>: &quot;Drink alcohol. Quite a bit.
