On last night’s episode of “The Colbert Report,” Stephen brought on David Wondrich<\/a>, curator of Esquire<\/i>‘s Drinks database<\/a> and the author of Imbibe!<\/a>, to whip up a cocktail called “The Colbert Bump.”<\/p>\n

Considering some of the connotations of the word “bump,” I’m glad this went as cleanly as it did, and that straining it through one’s beard, no matter how impressive it may be, is optional:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

  • 1 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur<\/li>\n
  • 1.5 oz Gin<\/li>\n
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice<\/li>\n
  • a splash of soda water, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
