{"id":941,"date":"2008-01-08T11:18:00","date_gmt":"2008-01-08T11:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cocktailians.com\/2008\/01\/off-the-presses.html"},"modified":"2008-01-08T11:18:00","modified_gmt":"2008-01-08T11:18:00","slug":"off-the-presses-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cocktailians.com\/?p=941","title":{"rendered":"Off the Presses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been trawling through the various cocktail websites, looking for interesting ones to add to the blogroll, and just ran across Robert Simonson&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/offthepresses.blogspot.com\/\">Off the Presses<\/a>.&nbsp; A few of his posts really resonated with me, so here&#8217;s some linky goodness for your Tuesday morning perusal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/offthepresses.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/what-cocktailians-like.html\">What Cocktailians Like<\/a>.&nbsp; Guilty as charged on most of &#8217;em.&nbsp; (They don&#8217;t have to be below 14th Street, but I understand why a lot of the joints in question are.)&nbsp; And the speakeasy aspect can easily slip from being a fun gimmick to an exclusive (and not in the good way), hipster attitude.&nbsp; Good drinking establishments take hospitality seriously, and mean it in all senses of the world.&nbsp; Life&#8217;s simply too short to play snobbish games.&nbsp; Which brings me to&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/offthepresses.blogspot.com\/2007\/12\/me-and-25-cocktail.html\">The $25 Cocktail<\/a>.&nbsp; Simonson tastes the $25 &quot;Staggerac&quot; at PDT.&nbsp; I&#8217;m all in favor of making fine cocktails with quality ingredients, and yeah, I&#8217;d be interested in tasting a Saz made with <a href=\"http:\/\/lyke2drink.blogspot.com\/2007\/06\/tuesday-tasting-george-t-stagg-kentucky.html\">George T.
